Please save the date of Tuesday, March 27 at 10 a.m. for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the American Association of Malaysia. This annual event provides an update of the organization's work in 2017 and will be held at the home of the Deputy Chief of Mission of the American Embassy. Your presence is important to help us meet our quorum. Please note that your membership dues for 2018 must be paid to attend and vote at the AGM -- or to submit a proxy vote.
The location details and attachments for the meeting, required by our Constitution Article 7.2., will be provided to you as soon as the documents are completed. Among the items of business at the AGM will be the election of new officers to the AAM Board. We have members willing to serve in each post; however, we also welcome your nominations. Nominees must be Ordinary Members (U.S. Citizens) willing to serve in one of the following positions:
Deadline for nominations to the Nominating Committee will be March 6, 2018, 21 days before the AGM. Please feel free to contact the Nominating Committee to discuss the responsibilities of each position or submit your nomination.
